经理说 I’m working from home today. 稍后你转告同事：She said she was working from home that day. 这不再是逐字引用，而是把信息放进新的说话视角，必要时也调整时间和地点。

Subject + said (that) + reported clause
先把整句当作一个意思来读，再观察每一部分的作用。
理解每一种选择。
在过去时报告动词后，时态常后移：am 变 was，have finished 变 had finished，will 变 would。如果信息仍然真实或与当前直接相关，也可能保留原时态，要结合语境。
say 后接说的内容；tell 通常先接人：She said that she was busy. / She told me that she was busy. 转述请求时可用 ask + 人 + to 不定式：She asked me to call later.
转述问题用陈述语序：He asked where I lived. 一般疑问句用 if 或 whether：He asked whether I was free. 代词和时间表达仅在视角需要时改变；如果仍是同一天，today 不必机械改成 that day。
放进场景，句子才真正有用。
She told me the room was ready.
tell 后带接收信息的人 me。
He asked if I needed a taxi.
if 引出转述的一般疑问句。
They asked us to wait outside.
ask + 人 + to 不定式转述请求。
改一点，表达就准确一点。
注意避免She said me that she was tired.
可以这样说She told me that she was tired.
使用 told me 或 said to me；此处 said 不直接接人。
